Boston
Located along the northeastern seaboard of the United States, Boston is about 200 miles northeast of New York City. Boston was founded in 1630, and it is one of the oldest and most culturally significant cities in the United States. It was founded by English Puritans fleeing religious persecution it was named Boston after Boston in England from which many of the settlers came.
By 1730 Boston had a population of over 13,000. In1770, the British attempted to gain control over the colonists leading to the start of the American Revolution. In 1773 the British East India Company sent tea to the American colonies to sell. Three ships were sent to Boston with 298 chests of tea.
